Saginaw County Parks Millage Committee
James Blaschka Treasurer, PO Box 6217, Saginaw, MI 48608 | Webmaster
On August 3, 2010, Saginaw County voters will determine the fate of the Saginaw County Parks system.
The majority of the funding comes from a millage that is up for renewal. This is not an increase, but a renewal of the existing millage.
In these tough economic times, the Saginaw County Parks and Recreation Commission has shown great fiscal responsibility in maintaining the parks and programs with decreasing funds and inflation.
The cost to the taxpayer is minimal and helps maintain the quality of life we enjoy in Saginaw County.
The tax would be only $8 a year for a home valued at $100,000. That is less than the cost of a movie ticket.
The vast majority of the parks offer free admission and most of the programs are offered at no charge.
Today is:
Paid for by the Saginaw County Parks Millage Committee
